Gangrene Cream

We love this recipe because it is dairy free, gluten free, low sugar & kid friendly! If you are cleaning up the ingredients in your diet or just looking for a fun recipe to make with your littles that won't cause a dreaded sugar high, this is a great Halloween treat. If you want to turn this into an adult matcha libation, add an additional cup of ice and four ounces of your favorite vodka or white rum.

Gangrene Cream
Makes six 3oz mini portions or four small glasses
• 2 cups ice
• 1 cup almond milk (we used Malk)
• 2 oz El Guapo® Sweet Potato Syrup
• 1 tbsp El Guapo® Holiday Pie Bitters
• 1 tbsp matcha powder

Place ice in a clean blender (we prefer Vitamix for consistency), and top with almond milk, matcha powder, bitters and syrup. Blend on high for ~60-75 seconds until completely pulverized and smooth. It may be necessary to add additional almond milk or ice if the mixture is too stiff or soupy... every blender is different! Once blended, carefully spoon into waiting glassware. We used miniature vintage martini glasses, but any sort of wide brimmed glass with work as well!
