What is a Caesar Cocktail?

A Caesar cocktail, also known as a Bloody Caesar cocktail, is a Canadian mixed drink typically made with vodka, clamato juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. It's often garnished with a celery stalk and a lime wedge. Our recipe offers a unique Southern take, using El Guapo™ bitters and a special bacon rim for an extra layer of savory flavor. It's a great alternative to a Bloody Mary for those who love a hint of briny seafood flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do Crawfish Boil Bitters taste like?

El Guapo™ Crawfish Boil Bitters offer a distinct and spicy flavor profile reminiscent of a Cajun crawfish boil. They have notes of paprika, red pepper, cayenne, and other savory spices, adding a spicy and complex layer to a Caesar cocktail. The Gumbo Bitters, meanwhile, add a richer, more savory, and herbaceous flavor.

Can I use gin instead of vodka in a Caesar?

Yes, you can. While a Caesar cocktail traditionally uses vodka, using gin will add a botanical, juniper-forward flavor that can complement the spicy and savory notes of the drink. Experimenting with different spirits can create a unique twist.

What is clamato juice?

Clamato juice is a commercial drink mix made from a blend of tomato juice and clam broth. It is the key ingredient that distinguishes a Caesar cocktail from a Bloody Mary, providing the distinct briny, savory flavor that fans of the drink love.
