Aromatic Depth in a Smoked Whiskey Cocktail
This cocktail’s depth comes from the marriage of warm spice, gentle sweetness and real smoke. The Sweet Potato Syrup adds a caramelized note. The Vanilla Bitters bring a soft, comforting aroma that bartenders swear by and grandmothers hoard. When the smoke hits the glass, the whole drink becomes richer and more layered. It is the kind of cocktail you sip slowly.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a smoked whiskey cocktail?
It is a drink where the glass or spirit is infused with smoke before serving. The smoke deepens the aroma and adds a warm, charred note.
Why is this a vanilla Old Fashioned?
The Vanilla Bitters are the heart of the drink. They provide creamy Madagascar vanilla and toasted marshmallow notes that complement the rye and syrup.
Can I use another whiskey?
Yes. Bourbon creates a softer, sweeter cocktail. Rye keeps things bold and spicy.
What does El Guapo™ Vanilla Bitters taste like?
They are rich and creamy with vanilla, toasted sugar and a hint of baking spice. They shine in whiskey drinks but play well with many spirits.
