Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Evangeline Stirred Cocktail taste like?
The Evangeline Stirred Cocktail has a classic flavor profile that is both warm and nutty. It tastes like a modern Old Fashioned with a distinctly Southern twist. The rich bourbon provides a strong base, while the chicory pecan bitters add notes of toasted pecan and coffee, making it smooth and complex.
Why is this a stirred bourbon cocktail?
A stirred bourbon cocktail is one that is mixed with a spoon and ice rather than being shaken. Stirring is the preferred method for cocktails made entirely of spirits, as it results in a perfectly chilled and diluted drink that maintains its clarity and texture. Shaking would introduce air and cloud the cocktail.
What does El Guapo™ Chicory Pecan Bitters taste like?
Our award-winning El Guapo™ Chicory Pecan Bitters has a unique flavor profile that is both savory and nutty. It contains notes of toasted pecan, chicory, coffee, and a hint of dark chocolate, which gives this drink a rich and flavorful complexity.
What makes this a "Louisiana meets Kentucky" cocktail?
This cocktail is a perfect blend of Kentucky and Louisiana flavors. It uses Kentucky bourbon as its base, but the addition of Louisiana cane syrup and our Chicory Pecan Bitters gives it a distinctly New Orleans flavor profile, bringing together the best of both states.
