This non alcoholic grapefruit cocktail is a masterful blend of complex flavors. The zero-proof mezcal provides a crisp, smoky base, while the El Guapo™ Salted Paloma Mixer offers a perfect balance of zesty grapefruit and a touch of salt. The soda water adds a light effervescence that lifts the entire drink, and the Tajin rim enhances the flavor with a hint of chili spice. The pineapple frond garnish adds a final tropical aroma.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an alcohol free paloma?

An alcohol free paloma is a zero-proof version of the classic Paloma cocktail. It is made with non-alcoholic tequila or mezcal, grapefruit soda or mixer, and lime juice, providing the same refreshing taste without the alcohol.

Can I use regular grapefruit juice instead of a mixer?

While you can use regular grapefruit juice, a dedicated Paloma mixer like El Guapo™ Salted Paloma Mixer provides a balanced blend of grapefruit, lime, and salt that is specifically designed for the cocktail, saving you a step and ensuring a consistent flavor.

Can I make this with alcohol?

Yes, this is a versatile recipe. To make it a traditional Paloma, simply replace the non-alcoholic mezcal with a tequila of your choice.

What is the best non-alcoholic mezcal?

The Monday Mezcal used in this recipe is a great choice for its authentic smoky flavor. Other non-alcoholic mezcals are also available and can provide a similar flavor profile for your zero-proof cocktails.
