Our El Guapo Crawfish Boil Bitters bring the signature Louisiana spice that makes this drink unforgettable.

Cornerstoned Recipe

This is a dry, savory, and smoky drink that balances the earthy mezcal with the unique flavors of Caraway Liqueur and Madeira. It’s an ideal choice for the adventurous cocktail enthusiast. The final touch of our Crawfish Boil Bitters adds a layer of unexpected spice and depth.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz sweet corn–infused mezcal
  • 0.75 oz Caraway Liqueur (we used Gilka Kummel)
  • .25 oz Rare Wine Co. Baltimore Rainwater Madeira (or other high-quality Madeira)
  • 4 shakes El Guapo™ Crawfish Boil Bitters
  • Fresh bay leaf for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the mezcal, Caraway Liqueur, Madeira and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir until cold.
  3. Strain into a Nick and Nora glass.
  4. Garnish with a fresh bay leaf.

 

How To Make Sweet Corn–Infused Mezcal

The key to this cocktail is the sweet corn infused mezcal. This process is simple but adds a remarkable depth of flavor to the drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 ears fresh sweet corn
  • 1 bottle mezcal

Instructions

  1. Cut kernels from two ears of corn.
  2. Pour the mezcal over the kernels in a non-reactive container.
  3. Steep at room temperature for up to 24 hours.
  4. Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
  5. Return the infused mezcal to the bottle.
  6. Refrigerate for up to two months.
