What Makes It a Black Old Fashioned
A Black Old Fashioned keeps the bones of the original whiskey, sweetener, bitters but adds a dark liqueur for complexity. Amaro brings the color and backbone, while our Chicory Pecan Bitters fold in earthy chicory and toasted pecan for a warm, layered finish. It’s familiar, but with more story.

The Secret Ingredient: Chicory Pecan Bitters
This drink works because the bitters do the heavy lifting. Chicory brings roasted depth reminiscent of New Orleans coffee, while pecan gives warmth and subtle nuttiness. Together, they round out the spice of the rye and the herbal edge of the Amaro. The cocktail lands smooth, cohesive and full of character.
