Our Half Life Margarita Recipe
This cocktail was created with The Sauceress. Reposado tequila sets the base and brings subtle oak that works well with citrus and Chartreuse. Green Chartreuse steps forward with deep herbal notes. Blue Curaçao adds color and a gentle bitter orange flavor that ties the drink together. Fresh kiwi and El Guapo Cuban Bitters push the drink into a bright and spicy space. It is anything but ordinary.

Why Use Green Chartreuse And Curaçao In A Margarita
Green Chartreuse adds bold herbal and floral notes that lift the classic tequila and lime profile. It brings depth that makes the drink feel grown and intentional. Curaçao adds gentle bitterness and bright orange flavor that keeps the margarita balanced. The two together create a more complex cocktail than the standard version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between orange liqueur and Curaçao?
Curaçao is a style of orange liqueur made from dried Laraha citrus peel. It often leans more bitter than sweet and blue Curaçao is known for its vibrant color.
Can I use a different type of tequila?
You can. Reposado gives smooth aged character. Blanco brings a sharper agave flavor. Añejo adds rich depth.
Why muddle the kiwi?
Muddling releases the juice and oils so the fresh kiwi flavor blends fully into the cocktail.
