The Pot Luck: Delicious Sweet Potato Syrup Cocktail
Sep 16, 2025
If you want a zero proof drink that feels festive, cozy and a little unexpected, The Pot Luck delivers. Created by Colleen Nealo of Porta in Philadelphia, this spirit-free sipper leans into warm spice and tropical fruit for a comforting drink that tastes like fall wandered into a tiki bar. Sweet Potato Syrup does what it always does. It brings depth, warmth and a gentle sweetness that makes the whole glass feel cared for.

Why This Is a Unique Sweet Potato Syrup Cocktail
Instead of starting with apple cider, this recipe begins with mulled pineapple juice. It is bright. It is spiced. It brings a soft tropical aroma that keeps the drink from feeling heavy. Sweet Potato Syrup adds earthy sweetness and warm baking spice. Falernum adds ginger, lime and allspice. The blend is layered and cozy without becoming syrupy. No spirits needed.
